Auditions: Memphis the Musical

Sue's Kitchen

We’re heading down UNDERGROUND!
“Memphis the Musical” is coming to Jonesboro, AR, produced by Center Stage Productions in conjunction with the Arkansas State University Theatre Department. We are so excited about bringing this opportunity to NEA! Come visit us in the Astate Drama Theater, where we will be following a beautiful story inspired by actual events that occurred close to home.
Memphis is about a white radio DJ who wants to change the world and a black club singer who is ready for her big break. Come along on their incredible journey to the ends of the airwaves– filled with laughter, soaring emotion, and roof-raising rock ‘n’ roll. Winner of four 2010 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and two 2015 Olivier Awards, Memphis features a Tony-winning book by Joe DiPietro and a Tony-winning original score with music by Bon Jovi founding member David Bryan.
Audition Dates:
March 31st at 6:00 p.m.
April 1st at 6:00 p.m.
Everyone is welcome to audition. There will be a need for actors, singers, dancers, and the behind-the-scenes tech crew. There will be choreography to learn during the auditions for many roles, please be there at 6:00 sharp if you want to audition for a role that will require dancing.
