The Revolutionists is a witty and empowering play by Lauren Gunderson that tells the story of four women during the French Revolution. Playwright Olympe de Gouges, assassin Charlotte Corday, former queen Marie Antoinette, and Caribbean spy Marianne Angelle each have their own unique perspective and approach to the Revolution. Together, they navigate the dangers and challenges of a country in upheaval while exploring themes of sisterhood, power, and the role of women in history. Through humor and heart, The Revolutionists celebrates the strength and resilience.
This event is in the Simpson Theater in the Fowler Center on the Campus of Arkansas State University.
Nettleton High School’s Touch a Truck fundraiser not only puts kids in the driver’s seat, it also helps raise money for HopeCircle. Kids can get their hands on cool vehicles and learn! Cost is $5/person or $20 for a family of five or more. The event is held in the parking lot of NEA Baptist Hospital at 4802 East Johnson Avenue in Jonesboro.
Run, hit, tackle and throw with the Red Wolves! The day-long event starts with the Spring Football Game and ends with an A-State Baseball game. In between, there is track and field and tennis.
