BAM Art Camp

Dates: July 17-21, 2023 Time: 1-5 pm Age: 8-12 Years Old Location: Bradbury Art Museum Cost: $25.00 Snacks Provided We invite your child to join us for summer camp at Bradbury Art Museum! Participants will visit Bradbury Art Museum for five days of art-making and exploration in order to create a collaborative group art exhibition inspired by the work of painter-printmaker Mary Ann Strandell. While at BAM, students will receive a guided tour of Strandell’s solo exhibition Transit Terrain and Other Spatial Narratives. They will then join BAM staff in exploring materials and methods based on Strandell’s interdisciplinary work. Artwork created in the camp will then be displayed in our hallway gallery from July 25th – August 30th. Register through the A-State Marketplace Mall by clicking here.

Outdoor Skills Day – Archery!

Learn the basics of Archery, practice your new skill and earn your beginner’s archery patch! No registration is required, call the nature center at 870-933-6787 for more information. The Outdoor Skills Program offers knowledge and hands-on experience to hone your skills in a variety of outdoor pursuits. Join us on our front lawn at the Forrest L. Wood Crowley’s Ridge Nature center this summer on outdoor skills days to learn skills and earn patches in archery and marksmanship!

St. Bernards Community Wellness Screening

St. Bernards offers free Community Wellness Screenings each month to the surrounding region at large. This month’s screenings take place on July 21st from 7-10 a.m. at St. Bernards Auditorium, located at 505 East Washington Avenue in Jonesboro. Participants may take advantage of numerous, free screening opportunities, including blood pressure, height, weight, BMI, anemia, glucose, hemoglobin A1C, a lipid panel and a colon cancer screening.
