On October 15th, we will have our fun mountain bike poker ride. The mountain bike is for fun and you can win some cool prizes!

Centennial Days of Service: Lake Frierson State Park
Celebrate the centennial of Arkansas State Park’s with 100 hours of service. Lake Frierson State Park is joining with Keep Arkansas Beautiful to host a “Clean at You Own Pace” cleanup on Saturday, October 21. Guests can earn service hours towards the “100 Hours of Centennial Service” program by picking up litter throughout the park and along the highway. Stop by the visitor center between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to pick up Great Arkansas Cleanup supplies. Trash bags, gloves, and tee shirts will be available while supplies last. Think Pink Scavenger Hunt. Help us raise money and enjoy some wind therapy while your at it!$15 donation, Proceeds go to Susan G Komen for the Cure. Winner receives a $50 HDJ Gift Certificate and Challenge Coin.
No set route, just ride and have fun. You will receive a list of words, while riding take a pic of the word on a sign, on an item, or on anything you find it on. The person with the most words completed wins. Tie breaker will be whoever completed the most words in the least miles.

The FOE is hosting a Fall Festival for all ages! Attractions include face painting, a bounce house, games, candy, etc. Halloween costumes are encouraged!

2nd Annual CHILI Cookoff & FALL DESSERT Contest
Our 2nd Annual Chili Cook-off Competition will be Sunday, October 22nd in the Lodge Hall starting at 4 PM.Entry fee for CHILI is $20. We are also adding a FALL DESSERT contest! Entry fee for this is $10.
All those that wish to taste test and vote for “People’s Choice” Awards may pay $5 & this gets you access to both CHILI and DESSERTS!
Entries must be turned in by 4:30 PM to judges. This will be a BLIND Judging and each entry will present small cups of CHILI to each JUDGE (presentation is important) & same goes for DESSERTS. Once judges have their samples then we will let the taste testing begin for People’s Choice. Winners will be announced at 6 PM. Expect CASH PRIZES and AWARDS!

**SUNDAY JAM at the Elks will be LIVE Entertainment for the CHILI COOK-OFF and we welcome all artists to come and participate in this jam day! Greasy Tree will get us kicked off. Music starts at 4 PM!

Trunk or Treat
The festivities will begin in our Parish Hall at 6pm on Wednesday, October 25. Families will dine on hot dogs and chips. Afterwards all will gather in the church parking lot so (toddlers-6th graders) will have the opportunity to safety Trunk-or-Treat in their Halloween costumes.We encourage parents and parishioner to park their vehicles and decorate them with festive Halloween or Fall decor, and handout candy from the trunk of their cars. also if you would like to dress up you are highly encouraged to do so. There will be a box in our narthex for you to drop off donated candy that we need for this event. We look forward to seeing each of you at our Trunk-or-Treat event!
