The Revolutionists
The Revolutionists is a witty and empowering play by Lauren Gunderson that tells the story of four women during the French Revolution. Playwright Olympe de Gouges, assassin Charlotte Corday, former queen Marie Antoinette, and Caribbean spy Marianne Angelle each have their own unique perspective and approach to the Revolution. Together, they navigate the dangers and challenges of a country in upheaval while exploring themes of sisterhood, power, and the role of women in history. Through humor and heart, The Revolutionists celebrates the strength and resilience.
This event is in the Simpson Theater in the Fowler Center on the Campus of Arkansas State University.
Anastasia: The Musical
It’s the story of Anya, an orphan in 1920s St. Petersburg yearning to discover her lost family. She encounters two men who convince her she just might be Anastasia, the Romanov duchess rumored to have survived the Russian Revolution.
