Full Moon + 5th Chakra

This is the fifth installment of our new 2023 Chakra series where each month our full moon activities will revolve around a chakra (energy center). May’s evening is devoted to the fifth chakra.Holland and Jonathan will lead the movement, breath work, astrological info and journaling. You can expect yummy treats related to the heart’s chakra and an evening to set the stage for love in its purest form this Spring. We will spend time outside around the bonfire if weather permits.

Flower Monotype Printing with Gelli Plates

LIMITED SEATS AVAILABLE, sign up here: https://bradburyartmuseum.org/eventsCome make a monotype garden with us! Join us for a free workshop with instruction on how to print monotypes using plants and water-soluble inks. The process will include a museum tour, plant-gathering, and a collaborative print activity. Supplies will be provided by Bradbury Art Museum, and you will leave with your own unique print to take home.
Inspired by Fragments & Fabrications artist Nnenna Okore’s use of plant-based materials.
The inks are nontoxic (and gluten-free). The Gelli plates are synthetic gelatin and are vegan.

Outdoor Skills Day – Archery!

Learn the basics of Archery, practice your new skill and earn your beginner’s archery patch! No registration is required, call the nature center at 870-933-6787 for more information. The Outdoor Skills Program offers knowledge and hands-on experience to hone your skills in a variety of outdoor pursuits. Join us on our front lawn at the Forrest L. Wood Crowley’s Ridge Nature center this summer on outdoor skills days to learn skills and earn patches in archery and marksmanship!

Snakes share the trails with hikers at Lake Frierson State Park. Join the park interpreter (and their scaly friend) to discover the importance of snakes to the park. Become a snake detective and sleuth out facts from fiction when it comes to these commonly misunderstood creatures.
